This 1868 edition of the book looks like it may have been given as a Christmas gift to someone for there is inscribed in gold plating \"Christmas 1870\" on top of front cover and a name \"L.M. Rocfwoods\"(?) stamped on the bottom of front cover. The book contains numerous illustrations throughout book with poetic verses in bxw that are protected by clear sheets The book measures 4.25\" x 6.50\". Thisbookbinding and pages are all intact with no loose pagesand is in good reading condition considering the age of book. There is evidence of slight fading and some foxing due to age. The book would be an excellent addition to any historical and antiquarian collection or library, especially related to classical poetry books.
