Original mintage of 1,713. Year 1931 ( 85+ yrs. old! ). 73mm. Artist Herman MacNeil.The listing is for the medal pictured, with the original pamphlet, and in a stamped well cushioned box. Shipping is free via Priority mail.Box is shown without the SOM stamp on the lid, but is stamped now. I\'m not a seller persay, I\'m a collector foremost that does pick up a few things when the opportunity presents itself, but in general my selling consists of selling doubles, and rotating things in and out of my collection - selling to buy other things of interest. That means quality is constantly high since I\'m not going to estate sales and buying bulk of various conditions. I also pay retail same as you and often break even after fees. I only buy the best examples, which takes alot of time searching and waiting until I find an example that qualifies. With these SOM medals finding any examples of most things is hard enough let alone ones that are pristine. If you have been searching for awhile you know this. Earlier this year I completed the entire set, all originals, and all minty with pamphlets. Basically a nightmare to accomplish, but rewarding. I would think that now amassing an entire collection would be almost impossible.You simply can\'t find them.I have never seen so few choices, especially of high quality ones. The number of listings are about half of what they were just a year ago as many more collectors have come in. Recently, so have some investors, buying everything they can get there hands on within reason. I haven\'t sold anything in about 2 months. I\'m selling the SOM doubles I have now, so take advantage of being able to pick up a couple of the minty offerings - mostly hard to find and some of which are very rare.
