by John Fricke, William Stillman and Jay Scarfone (1989, Hardcover)
Signed by Munchkins, others that had a relationship with the 1939 film THE WIZARD OF OZ starring Judy Garland and the book is with additional material. 

Hardcover book in dust jacket. First edition. “1” is starting number in row of numbers. Book is fine in fine dust jacket (not price-clipped). Well illustrated with colour and black and white photos about the 1939 film plus awesome information pertaining to the film.

This book was taken to the the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the 1939 Oz film with Judy Garland as Dorothy. This film is the most popular film in the world. The all day event took place Saturday August 19, 1989 in Culver City, California. I was invited and took this book to be signed.

About the signatures:

Signed by many of the Munchkins, Lorna Luft, Buddy Ebsen (the first Tin Man that was to be cast in the 1939 Oz Film), Jack Haley, Jr. (his father was the Tin Man in the film), John Fricke (one of the authors of the book).

These signatures, all but for Buddy Ebsen’s (l was a friend of his and maintained his website for years) were written in this book by those that were at the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the 1939 Wizard of Oz film.

Included with this book are three sheets that were at this 50th Anniversary Oz event: one giving the schedule of events, the other telling about the event (the edge is a little ragged as shown), and the third giving information about the ruby slippers which were on exhibit at the event. These are originals and not copies. I obtained them at the event in 1989. Also included is an invitation to the event and the envelope. Both in fine condition. Also a large button that I obtained at the event.

I’ll write a letter of assurance with photos of the signatures on it to go with the book.

This comes from my personal Oz collection. A unique addition to an Oz collection.
