Original Hess (JLH) pressed-steel lithograph toys.Founded in Nuremburg, Germany in 1826, Hess is recognized as one of the world\'s first toy manufacturers; making high-quality toys of pressed-steel until 1930. John Leonard Hess inherited the company in 1906, so the JLH logo on these toys identifies them as the period of 1906-1930. These are 1st - generation Dynomobil accessories, as listed by Hess catalogs. Platform is 4 1/2 x 14 x 4 5/8 inches. This toy consists of two accessories...a #60 (marked, as such) Twin Drop-Hammer and a #62 (also marked) Trip Hammer mill. Both have original color and graphics, as photographed. Both function well when the cranks are turned. These are mounted on an original Hess wooden platform. Originally, these would have been powered by a Hess Dynomobil crank-operated friction inertia power supply which is now missing and not included in this sale. Will work with Weeden, Wilesco, Mamod or other steam engine toys as well. Colorful graphics. Gearing works fine when turned. Nice vintage steam toy accessory. All original.
