This is a very nice antique tintype photo. The approx size of the photo is 3 1/2 X 2 3/8 inches.This is an ORIGINAL tintype. It has not been cleaned and may have slight defects from over 130 plus years of age. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTOS FOR THE CONDITION BEFORE YOU offer OR BUY.
THIS IS A RARE TINTYPE OF A VERY FAMOUS BASEBALL PLAYER & MANAGER, JAMES HENRY O\'ROURKE (September 1, 1850 – January 8, 1919) . O\'ROURKE HAD PLAYED BASEBALL IN THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION AND THE MAJOR LEAGUE 1872 TO 1893, MINOR LEAGUE 1894 - 1904, AND ALSO WAS A MANAGER FOR THE BUFFALO BISONS 1881 - 1884 & WASHINGTON SENATORS IN 1893. I HAVE NO PROVENANCE OF THIS TINTYPE OTHER THAN COMING FROM MY COLLECTION BUT PLEASE LOOK AT THE DETAILS OF THE IMAGE.
