Two hand-painted Mexican pottery animal figurines decorated in the classic style of the Tonala region.Frog (or toad), and much larger bird.Both marked for Mexico. Frog is signed as well: CHT BAE (I think; or maybe a number 336 ?)Frog is beige with naturalistic vining decoration on the back.It measures about 3 inches long by 1.75 inches tall.The bird, which I take to be a dove, has a greener background shade and a bold floral design.Bird rests on its chest, in a pecking position. Measures 7 inches from beak to tail. Height about 5 inches from table to tip of tail.Excellent pre-owned condition. Will be carefully packed for shipping.
