I bought this Fossil watch brand new from the Peanuts (or Snoopy) catalog several years ago and have never removed it from its box.... It went straight into my display case and remained there until today for the above photos. If memory serves I THINK it may not have a battery- It seems like they were sold without batteries according to the catalog, but I could possibly be wrong about that. I have never tried to wind it or start it in any way. It is completely untouched from the factory. Since these are so rare (They NEVER seem to come up for sale!) I would imagine that most people did what I did and just kept them as collectibles, not planning to wear them and thus, wear them out or scuff them up! If you are the winning buyer and want me to, I will take it to the jeweler and have him check it out and get it running. That will be the choice of the winning buyer. I am not touching it!!!! You also get a Snoopy dog bone charm that, once again, I have never removed from the box. I noticed today that next to Snoopy\'s head on the front of the box there is a light spot in the wood. (Zoom in with your mouse for exact details in the photos.) I\'d never noticed it until today when I was looking at it in a super critical way but mention it for accuracy. This is such a happy/sad piece, because Charles Schultz had already passed away when it was produced. We miss you, Mr. Schultz!! Any questions or requests for more photos are welcome.
