TURN-TEPLITZ-BOHEMIA RS&K Made In Austria 17\" Female Bust Elaborate Vintage RARE. This piece is similar to another bust by Turn-Teplitz Bohemia RS&K which measures 15\" and is selling for almost $1,800 through Kovels Antiques and Collectibles. This stunning piece is very elaborate and a striking addition to any decor, such as a mantle, piano or curio cabinet. There is gold accents throughout this piece, making it even more incredible. All the fabulous folds of fabric and curls in her hair. Even the back of this piece is very colorful, textured and detailed so that it could be displayed for the back to be enjoyed as well as the front. This piece measures 17\" H x 15\" W x 7 1/2\" D. As the pictures show, there is a red stamp on the bottom which reads \"TURN-TEPLITZ-BOHEMIA RS&K MADE IN AUSTRIA\" with the emblem. Additionally, there are numbers stamped directly into bottom of bust which read \"11825,\" the 5 is below the 1182.
TEPLITZ INFORMATION:
Teplitz refers to art pottery manufactured by a number of companies in the Teplitz-Turn area of Bohemia during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Two of these companies were the Alexandra Works, founded by Ernst Wahliss, and The Amphora Porcelain Works, run by Reissner, Stellmacher, and Kessel. Amphora Porcelain Works used a variety of marks with the wordAmphoraor the initialsRS&K.
