This sale is for a lot of two (2) FIRST EDITION Copies of this VERY SCARE and VERY EARLY P.G. WODEHOUSE TITLE - \"THE PRINCE AND BETTY\", as described below:

1) Wodehouse, P.G. THE PRINCE AND BETTY. Frontispiece and four inserted illustrations by Will Grefe. New York: W.J. Watt & Company, 1912. First edition. Octavo. Notably scarce and early first edition.Bound in the publisher\'s black decorated cloth covered boards with gilt lettering and decorations and two oval portraits by Will Grefe. Boards are square and tight. The title page on this copy is beginning to come loose. There is some foxing to the endpapers. Previous owner\'s ink signature to a blank prefatory leaf.The boards are slightly rubbed and worn, particularly along the rear board. This copy is in a later issue dust jacket (with a $2.00 price, rather than $1.25 and a different title listed on the front panel). The dust jacket is a bit rubbed and worn.

2) Wodehouse, P.G. THE PRINCE AND BETTY. Four inserted illustrations by Will Grefe. New York: W.J. Watt & Company, 1912.First edition. Octavo.Notably scarce and early first edition.Bound in the publisher\'s black decorated cloth covered boards with gilt lettering and decorations and two oval portraits by Will Grefe. The contents show some toning. This copy is lacking the title page and frontispiece. The hinges are just cracked (but holding).The boards are rubbed and worn, particularly along the spine and rear board (the spine has lost a little gilt lettering).
