Takamine EF-349 Acoustic Electric Guitar - Made in Japan in Aug. 1979. This was an early generation piezo electric with two bar slider fader switches and an onboard 9 volt battery and it has the strap pin input jack. The bridge saddle and piezo sits in a die cast metal under the top bridge piece. Overall decent shape. There is considerable surface wear and some scratches and other signs of age and wear. There is some slight age bellying in front of the bridge and the saddle was lowered a bit so it still has decent action. There is a ding dent in the 11th fret under the 5th string. It looks like it took a shot right there. It still plays okay however. This dreadnaught size guitar plays well and has plenty of punch and projection. It features mahogany back and sides and stained spruce top. It also features a one piece mahogany neck.....something you only see in high grade guitars these days. The guitar has new Martin Marquis strings and comes in a Windsor Brand Softcase that is in good shape....all the zippers work and no rips or tears. I ship all instruments insured.
