Taxco Modernist Bracelet Ric Erika Hult De Corral Pineda Era:
This is an amazingly beautiful vintage Mexican bracelet with a very unique design.. It is elegant with it's curves and the two large tiger's eye stones are used tastefully. The finish and workmanship is excellent. It's a sleek modern abstract design it has a bit of Sigi Pineda influence. Beautifully made and in excellent condition.Made by Erika Hult de Corral. She is listed in Billie Hougart's "Little Book of Mexican Silver and Hallmarks.". From the book: "Like Hubert Harmon, the award-winning designer Erika Corral studied at the Parson's School of Design in Paris. She worked with Sigfrido (SIGI) Pineda and Enrique Ledesma in Taxco before opening her own workshop. It measures approx. 1 1/2" at it's widest & 6 1/8" in length for the inside (size: 6 1/8).
Size can be adjusted with a little bit a pressure. It is very well marked with Hecho en Mexico, Taxco sa and the maker mark RIC in a script. Also the number 96. And the eagle assay mark. It looks very 1960s to me.It weighs 49.3 grams.
