Welcome to my listing for a vintage quilted fabric potholder or hot pad from Taylor & Ng! This company was best-known for the coffee mugs with cute graphic designs that it produced in the 1970s and 1980s, but they branched out into placing their designs on other products like kitchen linens. The rectangular pad measures about 9 by 8 inches, and features a madly grinning rabbit (sometimes referred to as \"Rascal Rabbit\" on the mugs) nibbling into a garden carrot, surrounded by other carrots and maybe ... sprouting rabbit ears as well? Whether you think of him as signifier of spring or an Easter Bunny, he\'s lots of fun! There\'s a credit line near his tail that reads \"(copyright) 1981 Win Ng Taylor & Ng.\" The reverse side is blank. The tag is still attached, and it notes that the potholder was made in Hong Kong and that it\'s 75% cotton and 25% polyester. This potholder has definitely been used, but it\'s still in great shape with only minor surface issues. There\'s a pea-sized tan stain on the reverse side, which has washed out until it\'s just barely visible. There are also a scattering of grain-of-salt-size white spots on the printed side of the potholder, that I believe were caused in the printing process -- that there were bits of fuzz on the surface of the fabric that absorbed the printing ink, then later when the fuzz wore away they left a protected/unprinted white spot beneath. No tears or rips or snags.
