96 Pages Illustrated by Gustaf Tenggren
VG+ First Edition, Golden Library, A Giant Golden Book, in Goldencraft durable library binding (scarce without unsightly library markings), profusely illustrated by legendary 1930s Disney chief illustrator Gustaf Tenggren. Hardcover folio, tan cloth with extensive full color decor, pictorial flyleaves. Front panel with small green crayon mark under the word \"Arabian\" as shown in picture, head and tail of spine very gently rubbed. Binding square and tight, interior bright, clean excepting small, neat gift inscription to top corner of front paste-down. Western Publishing (Golden Press/Simon and Schuster) made a habit of offering their Golden Books to schools and libraries with more durable bindings that could handle more wear and tear than the books would typically encounter in a private home. These special editions were called Goldencraft Editions. This copy has all of the first printing points of the standard edition, except it has a quality cloth cover rather than the standard laminated version. It has the appropriate designation of A395395.
