Terry Martinez, a Navajo silversmith from New Mexico, has been making jewelry for over 30 years. He started in 1976 being taught by his father, Leo Martinez, and his brother Calvin Martinez. It is safe to say that Terry comes from a highly gifted family, especially when it comes to silversmith work. He has been awarded multiple Blue Ribbons for placing 1st in Gallup Intertribal Ceremonial, one of the most well known and respected competitions for Native American Arts & Crafts. When you see a Terry Martinez piece you can be sure it is handmade, and I really mean handmade. Terry and his brother, Calvin, don\'t buy sheets of silver to to start with. He will purchase scrap silver, melt it down then uses a roller and hammer in order get to the thickness he\'s looking for.

If you are not familiar with Terry\'s work, he makes his jewelry to last forever. As you can see from the pictures this bracelet is no different. Using sterling Silver, he created a high quality cuff bracelet with symmetrical Native American designs. If you do not have any Terry Martinez jewelry in your collection, this would be a great piece to start your collection. His piece only become more valuable as time goes on.

Packing

Each item is carefully and thoughtfully packaged to help assure safe arrival
- Fragile items (Pottery &Katchinas)are almost always double boxed. Theyarewrapped in bubble wrap, placed in a box that is filled with peanuts all around the pottery. Then that box is taped closed and placed into another box with either peanuts or packing paper giving extra cushion to the main box
- Kachinas are specially packed as well with shredded paper to help preserve the small detail carvings that often times are very small and fragile
