A very nice original Civil War era bound book of sheet music...approximately 13\'\' x 10 \'\' inches...very good to fine condition..solidly bound,minor wear,a few scuffed edges...half maroon morocco and brown cloth with black morocco cover label lettered gilt,spine with raised bands,lettered and decorated in gilt...difficult to find one in better condition...majority of the 44 songs are from the Civil War period 1860-65...a few from the 1850s or later..with advertisements...all with title pages...some light toning and foxing...a very well taken care of book...songs generally lean toward Battlefield experiences with short stories of the War...The Rare song \' The Children of
