Quote from front cover: \"A History of IDEAS fundamental to the development of the Iowa State Normal School (1876-1909) and the Iowa State Teachers College covers, no jacket, with a bit worn and faded gold ink title on front, still has some shine left to it. Title on spine also a bit time-worn. Bottom tips both covers have been lightly bumped leaving slight crease and somewhat pliable. Points of all tips show light wear; covers very light soil, spine has small round light areas (see photo) near heel along with a line of light spots and streaks along spine\'s back edge, appear to be moisture-caused. Spine ends lightly worn with a crease at bottom front spine from a bump. Few small scuff marks on cover edges. Leaf edges good. Book measures 6.25x9.25.
Inside front cover is a nice presentation label with clearly ink-written name of recipient on it, this book apparently was gift for the 75th anniversary. On first blank page is a round, very well done, embossed \"library of\" with name of owner, different name than the presentation label name.

Book consists of 160 pages including 6-page index.
Page good at binding as are the covers; pages are original light ivory color, clean; pages 132 and 133, facing pages, are partially stuck together, appears to have been a printing/binding flaw, glue perhaps, I did not try to pull them apart, some of the pages are still visible. Slight \"found in collection in a box\" odor.
