Bound in original purple cloth over boards with gilt illustration to front cover and gilt lettering and accents; blind stamping to front and rear cover. Covers heavily faded; wear to extremities, particularly head and tail of spine; some fraying; corners bumped; portrait affixed as front pastedown; couple of loose leaves; cover starting to separate; some very mild spotting; fold-out map poorly reinforced with tape at seams, tape stained through from back, couple of open splits / tears at seams. Overall, good.
