This 256-page hardcover book has 387 illustrations, and \"is the first and only comprehensive collector\'s guide devoted to artist Sam Butcher and the entire porcelain Precious Moments Collection made by Enesco Imports Corp.\" Rare family photos tell the story of Sam\'s life from rags to riches. The Gallery section shows every porcelain figure ever released (up to that point) including some that have never been seen. The book give details about the inspiration for many of the figures, and there is a special section illustrating the production of these gems. There is also an index with an alphabetical list, by category, of every porcelain bisque piece in the Precious Moments Collection made by Enesco through 1986. Some 1987 pieces are included. A dust jacket covers the book. It shows some shelf wear and a mark on the back where another PM item was pressed against it for decades in storage. The hardcover shows a little mark at the bottom of the front cover. It is hardly noticeable. The photo highlights it extremely. The inside pages are near perfect. The book was never even read; just sat on a shelf and in storage for 32 years. The inside of the cover has the owner\'s name and date. It has been covered with a post-it for photographic purposes for privacy. The back binding has begun to crack inside the book, and there is a fold near the ISBN on the inside of the back dust jacket cover.
While it seems I have listed many flaws, this really is a book in very good condition. I am diligent about listing any and all imperfections I see, so buyers know what they\'re getting and are happy with their purchase. Please view the photos carefully and ask questions.
