In honor of the July 29, 1981 wedding of Lady Diana Spencer to Prince Charles, one of the greatest displays of British pomp and circumstance; the Danbury Mint has commemorated the "Royal Wedding" with remarkable attention to detail in this lovely collectible doll. Diana is a lovely eighteen (18) inch Royal Wedding Bride Doll. Her head, arms, and legs are crafted of fine bisque porcelain and she is adorned witha beautiful hand painted complexion. She is dressed in a beautiful hand-crafted wedding gown with a magnificent six (6) foot train. This bride wears the beautiful Spencer tiara and he mother's earrings, each containing a real half point diamond. The wedding gown has been reproduced with detail just as the original - hand embroidered lace panels,full sleeves drawn up at the elbows with small bows, and lots of tiny mother of pearl sequins. She carries a beautiful cascading bouquet of white roses. A most beautiful bride if ever there was one!
This doll is in mint condition and comes with her stand. She resides in her original box and packaging; and has only been out for inspection and pictures. This doll has never been on display. This doll is not a toy and is not intended forplay. It isa very fine porcelain doll.
The certificate of ownership is missing bewe are the original and only owners of ths fine doll.
She has been in clean, dry, smoke-free storage for the past 27 years. Box is somewhat worn and weathered due to long term storage.
