I am selling the book THE WAY OF THE EAGLE by Major Charles J. offerdle,copyright and published in 1919. The book measures approximately 5-1/2\" x 8-1/2\" and is297 pages long. The hardbound book (no dust jacket) has heavy wear on the corners/edges. There is a minor spine separation at the Title Page.The name of a previous owner, along with the date May 19th, 1921, are written on the front free end paper. The text isunmarked (no underlining, highlighting, or written notation) and complete. This volume was published by Charles Scribner\'s Sons. Black-and-white plates illustrate the text.

Charles John offerdle was an American aviator and flying ace during World War I. He joined the Lafayette Flying Corps in France in 1917 and was assigned to Escadrille 73. He later transferred to the American Expedition Force (A. E. F.).
