Theodore Roosevelt 1920 Brass Plaque By James Earl Fraser:
$725.00
I have for sale a 1920 memorial commemorative plaque for President Theodore Roosevelt that was done by JAMES EARL FRASER. The plaque to me looks to be made of brass, it is 12 by 9 3/16 inches and looks to be uncirculated, if not close to it. The weight is approximately 12 pounds and this plaque has pre-drilled holes at the corners for mounting on a wall. I believe this plaque was issued by the Decorative Arts League but there is no indication on the plaque to verify that. The plaque shows a profile bust of the president with his Pince-Nez glasses. In the upper right corner it reads FRASER - 1920 with a copyright symbol between the 9 & 2. At the bottom it reads \"AGGRESSIVE FIGHTING FOR - THE RIGHT IS THE NOBLEST - SPORT THE WORLD AFFORDS.\" This quote is from a speech given by Roosevelt when he was New York City police commissioner before he was our 26th President. Please see more in my store at TE COLLECTABLES. (12,197)
