A rare salesman\'s copy ofAfrican Game Trailsby PresidentTheodore Roosevelt(just after he had left office), 1910, Charles Scribner\'s Sons, green and yellow boards, gold lettering, approx. 9-5/8\" x 6-3/4\".
Boards very good, binding tight, some rubbing, scuffing to corners, top and bottom of spine, some crimping to the lower left corner of back cover (most likely done at the print shop), some discoloring marks on the last blank pages from the leather stripping adhered to the inside back cover,clean inside. Other minor wear may be present. No smoke or musty odors. Not an ex-library book.
This is the rare salesman\'s copy that would have been used to take orders for the book. It has less pages than the retail copy but includes most of the pictures to show the buyer what he would be receiving. It is in remarkably nice conditionconsidering, and all of the order pages are blank.
