Available is a rare front page that came from a July 28 1904 Philadelphia North American newspaper that contains a headline announcing that President Theodore Roosevelt has accepted the Republican Party nomination for President of the United States.The newspaper page exhibits some chipping and paper loss on the edges. The page is delicate and should be handled with the utmost care.Please look at the listing photos for condition detail.
Please keep in mind that newspapers from this era tend to have high acid content partly due to how the paper was made and partly due to the absorption of pollutants. This combination results in the deterioration of the paper over time making it increasingly brittle especially on the edges. As a result, these pages must be handled with the utmost care due to their delicate nature. The newspaper and/or newspaper pages will be placed in a protective plastic sleeve and shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube. Please use due care when removing the pages from the tube and the plastic sleeve.
