Here are three doorknob sets that I removed from my own cottage. These are really old. The cottage was over 100 years old. These are black and glossy. Sorry I do not know the exact material but seems to be a ceramic or porcelain material. I cleaned up the knobs pretty well but there is still a bit of paint on the metal parts which I\'ll leave it to you to determine if you want to clean it up. Each set is on a metal bar that has two holes in each end. One piece is kind of stuck, see my detailed pics. A dab of WD40 or the like will probably unstick it.
