Today\'s listing is another Tiffany wristwatch that we just took in on consignment as part of an estate. The watch was originally sold in the mid 2000\'s by Tiffany as a man\'s watch due to its size, 1\" horizontal, 1 3/4\" vertical. This particular watch has a stainless steel case mounted to a fairly new chocolate brown alligator strap from France. The buckle on the strap is also stainless and is clearly marked \"Tiffany & Co.\". The caseback does show scratches but could easily be buffed by any reputable jeweler. Upon polishing the watch casing yesterday, I had noticed for the first time several thin vertical scratches on the crystal at the 11 o\'clock marker. I had not seen these previously, and don\'t believe they show up in any of the photos, but am confident that a reputable jeweler could buff the crystal scratches as well. The crystal has a vertical domed shape. The numerals are arabic, the largest of the twelve being the 12 and 6. Above the 6 is also a sweep second hand. The battery was just replaced last week, and as mentioned the strap is quite fresh only being worn a few times recently.
Since this watch and 2 others were part of an estate, no manual or boxes were present with the watch, only the blue cloth Tiffany watch sheath pictured. My client recently passed away, but had been a collector of all Tiffany items, particularly silverware and men\'s jewelry. As mentioned, this watch was marketed as a men\'s wristwatch. However there is no reason why the style would not appeal to, or be too large for a woman today.
