Originally inspired by tiki idols, this series is a lot of fun. It is sure to make you smile. This one has a clean high contrast look with the light grey and black color scheme.My marbles are made of soft glass ( soda lime
glass) mainly from Italy and America. I use a unique combination of
crucible formed glass and torch work to create the work in this series.
The glass is heated at a torch and sculpted into a sphere with many
layers of dots and lines that form the patterns. Dipping the structure
into molten clear creates the different layers. I tend to draw a lot of
inspiration from a diverse set of cultures. Everything from mandalas,
textiles and ancient pottery is fair game for interpretation. These are
truly meant as miniature sculptural works of art.All of my work
is handmade one at a time by me. Take a look at the other stuff in my
