TIN FRICTION 1950\'S MERCEDES BENZ 300 SL RACER RACE CAR BANDAI JAPAN:
$85.00

For sale is a vintage tin friction 1950\'s Mercedes Benz SL 300 race car made by Bandai of Japan. The car measures 8 inches or 20 centimeters long and it is complete and in very good/excellent condition. It is all original, although it appears that the top has been repainted and I\'m not sure about the windshield. The red and blue color scheme with yellow and silver accents is really fantastic. The graphics are in super shape and the surface of the tin is nice and glossy with some small scratches and chips. The right side of the car has the most scratches; the hood and trunk are in really nice condition. The interior is near perfect with the original steering wheel. The chrome trim is in great shape, bright and shiny. There is a little crack in the windshield but it doesn\'t go all the way through the tin. The tires and hubcaps are in excellent condition, as is the base. The friction motor works. The car isn\'t perfect but it is very nice example of a very colorful tin friction race car. It is pictured on page 182 of the great Big Book of Tin Toy Cars Commercial and Racing Vehicles. Thanks for looking!!!!
