In the spotlightfor yourofferdingconsideration is this pair oftiny antiqueGermanall bisque dolls--appearing to be dressed as George and Martha Washington! Included with the patriotic pair is a vintage miniature 48 star American Flag hoisted high on its own Flag pole and stand! How cute is this?!

The dolls stand a mere 2 3/4\" tall. Made of all bisque, they have wire jointed arms at the shoulders and cute little cotton batting \"powdered\" wigs. She wears hers in an up-do, and he sports his in a colonial ponytail down his back, just like George! The dolls are modeled with rotund little bellies and shy expressions with side glancing googly eyes. Moving the ribbon out of the way on the girl doll on the back, one can see the P.6 clover mark of the Limbach company, with Made in Germany incised below this. The dolls are also stamped on the bottom of their feet. Interestingly, it looks like \'Made In\' on one foot, and \'Austria\' on the other foot, as best I can make out. If this is true than perhaps they were made in Germany, and dressed in Austria for an American market. Weird!

The dolls enjoy saluting their own Flag, which is a vintage 48 star Flag that dates prior to 1952, I believe. The cloth Flag is hung from a painted metal pole that has a painted wooden base. Super cute, and will make for a great dollhouse display on the 4th of July or President\'s Day,celebrated here in the states in February.
