This color original measures 6.75-by-10.5 inches.Tom says:\"Before the age of scannersand coloring digital files on the computer, comic books used tobe colored on paper as color guides, which were sent to the separators to be broken down into color plates for the printer. Freelance colorists were given high quality matte paperstats of the black and white artwork to be colored and/or airbrushedby hand. Since these were only intended to be used as color guides, and never meant to be published or seen by the public, most guides were somewhat sloppy, as colorists weren\'t concerned with \'painting inside the lines\' - and the color coding was usually written right on the page.\"However, I always attempted to approach my coloring as finished art - always neat and meticulous, and whenever possible. This cover was colored withDr. Martin\'s dyes, not watercolors; and consequentially the colors have remained bright and vibrant, andhave not faded at allin the 30 years or so since it was originally worked on.\"
