Qing Dynasty -Tongzhi Period Make, Heavely Enameled Plate with Over Glaze Tongzhi 6 Character Mark 10 1/4\"
This is an incredible plate in every regard. Good size, Excellent Design, Colorful Enamels, Hand Painted and Gilded. I have many Asian plates to list and while this one may not be exceptionally old, it is very beautifully hand decorated. I believe this to be a Chinese Export plate, first half of 20th century. The enamels are beautifully applied and very thick, with some showing as made bubbles, and the guilding is in excellent condition throughout the plates surface with the guilded rim undamaged. The design was hand drawn in orange ink and then hand enameled. I feel very fortunate to have owned this lovely plate. And you will also when you see it in person.About the plate: it is 10 1/4\" (25.62cm)in diameter and 7/8\" (2.2cm) tall. The plate has no damage and rings like a bell when tapped.
