Up for sale with is a top quality 1911 English Sterling Silver Oval Serving Dish or Bowl. The Dish is one of the finest quality, thickest gauge Sterling Silver Bowls I have sold in a long time. The Bowl also features extra thick reinforced top rims which make it even more sturdy. I love the overall form of this Dish and the pierced designs really set it over the top. The Bowl is fully Hallmarked for the important Silversmiths John Round & Co, Sheffield England, Sterling Silver and the Date letter for 1911.

This fabulous quality Serving Bowl is also in excellent condition with minor signs of use and age but nothing to really note. I also like the early Art Deco Original owner monogram as seen, which could be almost anything you wish LOL The Serving Bowl is a nice size for modern use, measuring12-1/2 inches long by7-7/8 inches wide and sits1-3/4 inches tall. The Dish as I have said is of extremely thick SolidSterling Silver, weighing407 grams. I am sure someone in 1911 paid a small fortune for this Bowl, as most examples you see are no where near this quality, but now 100+ years later it will sell to the highest buyer without areserve of any kind.
