For sale is a set of FOUR table spoons ( NOT serving spoons)
This Towle Candlelight pattern belonged to my grandmother who was born during WWI and her parents would only allow a very simple church wedding and absolutely no gifts other than small momentous. My family were German immigrants from the 1880s. Her father ( my great grandfather) felt it was the right thing to do during war time.
Her son, my father was born in 1935. Instead of a sweet gift for the baby my grandmama received a full 12 piece place setting of Sterling silver Candlelight with all the serving pieces from her grandmama ( my great, great grandmother, Ganna).
It\'s all exquisite. These four spoons have one letter on them. It appears to be a C or G or E. My family names are Gauss, Euler and Clauss. Regardless of the mono these will make a great addition to your set. I\'m quite eclectic so I think it adds character and would certainly be a conversation piece even if your last name does not begin with this letter.
