These plans are based on the trailer which you see in these pictures. We made it several years ago. It is similar to my lowerable deck trailer which has the upper deck which is lowered using a small winch(see other listing). This trailer is quite a bit easier to make than the lowerable deck trailer but not quite as flexible in usage. The upper deck is capable of carrying 1000 pounds, with a total of 4500 pounds on both decks.

The construction of this trailer is not difficult but does require reasonably good welding skills and the ability to read and understand mechanical drawings. The time required for construction is about 2 weeks depending on your skills and effort.

The cost for parts and materials for building this trailer is between $1800 and $2700 depending on what kind of friendly prices you can get for the components and how fancy you want to make it.
