Antique ship model clock Trench art ship trench art clock. For sale is an amazing working clock made from an assortment of antique parts, including a very old 19th Century wooden model ship, with really nice details despite it\'s current age. All other pieces appear to be brass or bronze, including screws and feet on the wooden base. The ship measures 11\" in length, and about 13\" high. The antique dial is enamel, is marked \"a Paris\". The mechanical movement inside was replaced at some point with a modern quartz operated movement, it works and keeps time. It is accessed by unscrewing the metal knob on the back of the clock housing. I think at one time the model ship was actually intended for water, as it has a weighted lead keel. A really interesting and functional piece of art.
