WWII trench art hand engraved artillery shell 1944, 40 mm Navy shell. It has thefollowing six images engraved: Trident/Crossed Pistol & Sword - Don\'t Tread On Me Snake - Skull & Cross Bones - Sailing Ship - Eagle over Anchor USN -Early American Flag. Date of artwork unknown. The shell has been cleaned at some point.Great piece of history and nice images. Measure 12 1/4\" tall x 2 1/2\" wide.
