A special little Gentleman, dating to the 1880\'s, possibly as early as the 1870\'s. Depicting a Grandfather, or older man, having a balding pate surrounded by a fringe of BRUSH STROKED gray hair. Molded, hand painted Mutton Chops at the sides. Delicate hand painted brow marks to accentuate age, and very delicate - hard to see - molded cheek curves near mouth. Deep sloping shoulder plate, no markings. Find pink tone cloth body, bisque lower arms and legs. Low heeled molded boots. Standing 6\" tall. Amazing condition, stored for over 100 years.
Wearing his very old velvet coat and tie, along with long black slacks. Clothing was removed from doll for our pictures, then resewn onto doll as originally found. Shown with his life long mate of 120+ years is the Grandmother doll, which is being listed separately.
