This sale is for an original PRIMITIVE SAMPLER made by Lurana Pickerin. It measures 10\" X 10\". I personally believe this sampler was made by an older child due to mistakes. Example: Y & Z were forgotten to be put into cursive lettering on top. The J & S are backwards in next lines of alphabet. The next smaller version of alphabet line 6 she forgot the j. The first line of numbers has two 2\'s, two 3\'s, two 5\'s, and two 6\'s. It reads \" Lurana Pickerin is my name.\" English is my ????? ?????. A couple other words are hard for me to make out but she ends it with Place & Christ is my Salvation in the Year of Our Lord 1808. A lot of hard work and time was placed in this piece and it still survives for someone to enjoy. A great conversational piece. I us UPS and S&H depends on location. Good Luck! 🍀
