Beautiful post war horn! Very fine example.

Olds \" Studio \" model trumpet from the 1940s in polished brass & Nickel silver (NO lacquer). A great early model in the Olds lineup (serial 3XXXX) this is a serious playing, very pretty Olds trumpet from Around 1947-1948 made in Los Angeles. Very nice horn, and a wonderful player..

These are one of The best American made instruments, the Studios in this era were pro trumpets.This one is real pretty, plays like a dream!

This example has been not been restored in the past as far as I can see, it shows some light use/wear in the brass, a scratch here and there, the brass is all in good shape. Looks to be a low hours trumpet, very tight, good compression. Much air noise when you pull or push1st or 3rd slide slide. Notice nickel silver tune slide crook, dual trombone water keys. Double X guide pin valves.Original factory water key springs, still tight!

Instrument shows very little age/use evidence, retaining the qualities that make these early Olds instruments real players and such great long lasting well built horns. There is some slight evidence of use, a little nick/small scratch here and there in the smooth brass & nickel silver if you look real close, The lead pipe is clean and shiny inside. Very Nice example of a neat, fun model from that early era, really nice design, they started making these in the 1940s, I believe this is one of the first ones made.

The original factory engraving is in GOOD shape. Horn looks better in the hand than in these photos.

These horns feel solid, very pro in the hand, measuring at .460 bore, this one shows very nice, NO dents or dings, it does NOT look the the age it is.

This instrument has not been restored by me, it has been cleaned, polished, and checked for valve alignment, new top cap felts,all corks and felts, valve springs are new, water key corks the newer foam type, new bumper gaskets on 3rd slide. It is offered in this serviced/original condition.

The valves look great and are wicked fast/buttery smooth and this instrument plays very well, has very good compression. Instrument plays like a new horn. It is a serious fun to play trumpet from a great early era of the Olds company. Every piece of this horn has been carefully cleaned including the raw brass tubes. This one is a really a big time player. If you have an offer in mind please make contact.
