The Tupolev Tu-134 NATO designation- Crusty was a twin-engined airliner, similar to the French Sud Aviation Caravelle and the later-designed American Douglas DC-9, and built in the Soviet Union from 1966 to 1984. The original version featured a glazed-nose design and, like certain other Russian airliners such as the Tu-154, it is capable of operating from unpaved airfields.
