VERY HARD TO FIND BRITISH VERSION OF THE MONOCHROME \"D2\" MODULE, MISSING MAPS BUT OTHERWISE FULLY USABLE!From 1978 to the establishment of TSR UK in 1981. Games Workshop was licensed to manufacture and distribute Dungeons & Dragons products in the United Kingdom. This included several accessories and many miniatures, softcover versions of Advanced D&D rulebooks Monster Manual and Players Handbook, the Holmes Basic D&D Set, and the following monochrome modules: B1, D1, D2, D3, G1,G2, G3 and S1. Once TSR UK opened in 1981, all standard hardcover books and sets and modules were available.This item is a UK copy of \"D2: Shrine of the Kuo-Toa.\" Compared to the standard TSR issue, it has easier to read black (instead of blue) maps on the inside cover, easier to read text, better paper an cardstock, far fewer minor manufacturing errors compared to the TSR originals, and price lists in Pounds Sterling instead of dollars and cents. This module was wisely combined to save time and space with the less exciting \"D1: Descent Into the Depths of the Earth\" in 1981\'s reissue \"D1-2: Descent Into the Depths of the Earth\" which featured some new artwork by better artists. The full sequence of this overarching series was: G1, G2, G3, D1, D2, D3, Q1. (Later G1-2-3, D1-2, D3 and Q1 followed a few years later by the supermodule GDQ1-7). D2 may have been to a degree a bit of a ripoff of HP Lovecraft\'s work (Kuo-Toa instead of Deep Ones) but this is also one of the better early AD&D modules, obviously overshadowed by the classic \"D3: Vault of the Drow\" but also a substantial improvement on D1. The booklet is missing the detachable maps on pp17-20. Module cover material is mostly clean, though there are spine creases, 1/8\" or less of the fold points have abraded away, and there are pencil/pen marks on the secondary inside-cover map. Some outer abrasion to the module back cover and third green panel. The booklet, besides the missing detachable maps, has bumped corners, minor staple rust, a few very minor discolored spits, pencil checkmarks on Page 5, pencil writing or marks (some erased) on pp6-12, pen writing on Page 7 folded upper corner of pp15-16.
