ULTRA RARE 1920\'s MID-CITY GOLF COURSE Chicago IL Poster Sign AMAZING LOOK!!! - BOBBY JONES - ONE OF A KIND
Up for sale is an incredible 1920\'s Original GOLF advertising poster. The poster features the MID-CITY Golf Course which was located on the junction of Grace and Western streets in Chicago IL in early 1900\'s. The poster was discovered in a plain frame (not professional), as you can see from the pictures it was mounted on a white backing with a few pieces of tape (on the bottom and top, we did not attempt to remove them). Poster measures approx 42\"x27\".
The poster was printed by \"Central Printing & Engraving Co Chicago\" and the centerpiece artwork has the artist\'s name \"H. Long\". The artist used as a centerpiece the image of Bobby Jones, famous golfer in the 20\'s.
The condition of the poster is very good, shows minor wear around edges, a few surface creases and a deeper crease on the bottom - see pictures. The piece was part of a private collection for a long time, certainly fresh to the market and we believe it to be the only one known.
