RARE- 32.5X37mm (not counting the crown) 14K OMEGA MUSEUM WATCH ca. 1970\'s.Very rare watch is four times signed- dial, case, movement and origial crown.Solid 14K gold snap back case is signed and with case ref number D6858.These watches were only produced in very limited numbers and from 1973-1975.Here is some information below on the history of the MUSEUM WATCH:
\"The original Museum Watch was designed in 1947 by Nathan George Horwitt and some 50 units were manufactured by Vacheron & Constantin-Jaeger- LeCoultre.The Museum watch was added to the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in 1960.Movado started producing an unauthorized (by Horwitt) version starting in 1948, copying Horwitt\'s design. Movado finally settled with Horwitt in 1975 with a payment of $29,000.Following Horwitt\'s death, Movado started heavy promotion of Horwitt and the design of the Museum Watch. However, between 1973 and 1975 Omega produced a number of these watches.\" SOLID GOLD, RARE AND AN OMEGA
