We are deeply saddened to announce that we lost Uncle Shelby in early 2017. Fortunately, he passed quietly in his sleep without suffering. Prior to his passsing, he had entrusted us with over 80,000 lots, 53,000 of which we have sold over 17 years. His heirs wish us to continue his legacy by selling the remainder of the estate, which includes a number of banker boxes still unsorted. In addition, he had acquired over the years a large worldwide holding of which we were unaware. His heirs have asked us to liquidate that material in the same fashion as we have the U.S. material. We expect to start that liquidation within weeks with foreign sales on Wednesday and Saturday and continuing U.S. sales on Thursday and Sunday.

His heirs have turned over to us a phenomenal accumulation of Poster Stamps from 1897 to the early 1940\'s... surely one of the largest holdings currently in existence and untouched since about 1944, over 70 years ago! We have found a Shelby membership card in the National Poster Stamp Society dated 1939! I have owned The Stamp Gallery in Walnut Creek, CA for over 40 years and have never seen anything even remotely close to 1% of this holding! We have been selling Uncle Shelby\'s U.S. (and more recently, worldwide) material on since the early 2,000\'s... selling nearly 60,000 lots!
We will be offering Poster Stamp sets and singles, about which we know very little, on Fridays of each week, all at 99ยข minimum offers! In our 150-day internet research, we have seen identical items selling for $2.00 to $200.00 and more. We have many, many spectacular items never seen. If this tantalizes you, please look in and enjoy item or lot described with faults is not returnable because of faults. Lots with 10 or more items are not returnable for any reason. Requests for expertising extensions must be approved prior to placing your offer so the sale can be held open if the consignor agrees. Please allow sufficient time for the approval process, especially if a weekend is involved, since we are seldom available on Friday-Sunday.
All used and mint individual stamps and sets are sound (i.e., free of faults) unless otherwise stated. All mint stamps will have original gum unless noted to the contrary. Large lots of 25 stamps or more may have mixed condition unless described as mint, never hinged.
Given repeated abuses by non-paying buyers with few or zero positive responses, we now require all buyers to have at least 10 positive responses from at least 3 different vendors. Exceptions are made only with prior approval. California residents must pay 8.25% sales tax. Thank you.
