A superb quality antique Scottish, solid sterling silver (tests) brooch; beautifully realistically modelled as a horse\'s hoof. With hand engraved detail and texturing, both ends are set with stunning quality specimen Scottish hardstones, hand carved & polished.It dates from around1880 and isinexcellent, fully wearablecondition throughout, with no loss or damage. It weighs17.2grams and measuresjust under3inches long. The final photo shows it with a US penny (1 cent) coinfor scale, which measures19mm/ ¾ of an inchdiameter.
