Welcome to my sale -Up for your considerationis this unusual old compartment ring. Uses for these rings could have been as a scent or vinaigrette, a mourning ring to hold a loved ones lock of hair or even a poison ring. The sterling ring has a secret little drawer rather than lifting open like most rings. The top of the ring has a wire twist decoration and is set with a ruby red stone. This unique estate piece is marked 925 for Sterling, no makers mark, exact age unknown.

CONDITION - The ring is in fine, antique, pre-owned condition! Some normal age/use surface wear, stone looks like it may be a replacement - as with all of my estate items, I have not cleaned or polished it.

SIZE - Top of ring measures approximately 1/2" long, 7/16" wide, 1/4" deep, inside diameter is 19mm making it a size 9.
