Such was the need for fighting knives during WW2 that the US government purchased almost the entire production of most American cutlery companies. The Pal Cutlery Co. of Plattsburgh, NY produced a sturdy 6\" blade fighting knife known as the RH-36 that was widely carried by US troops overseas. This US Army USMC Marine WW2 PAL RH-36 FIGHTING KNIFE is in good condition, with some light sharpening to the blade edge, some light nicking to the upper blade spine, moderate pitting and patina at the left side of the blade, some pitting and patina at the right side of the blade, some light loosening to the guard, and with some scattered age wear evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the knife is in fine shape, with no other damage. Most interestingly, it features a 6 3/16\" bright polished blade, sports a crisp stacked leather washer handle, and is stamped at the ricasso with its maker and model, \"PAL RH-36\".
