A booklet pane with five stamps was issued in Seattle, Washington, on March 21, 1986, during the fiftieth anniversary convention of the National Wildlife Federation. The five stamps depicted five types of fish found in American waters.

Wildlife artist Chuck Ripper of Huntington, West Virginia, designed the multicolor stamps as well as the two-color booklet cover. Depicted from top to bottom on each of the two booklet panes are the muskellunge, Atlantic cod, large-mouth bass, blue fin tuna, and catfish.

These 5 unaddressed first day covers, four individual and one block of 4, have cachets that were designed in full color by Fleetwood. Each cover contains text on the back that describes the fish on the front. This set would be a great addition to any FDC collection!
