How do you do it? Gently remove the old set or it may have already come off. Place the Item on a small pad. To protect the front plate. The top socket fits over the hole. the bottom plate has 4 small tabs that fold over. Tap down with a small tack hammer gently. Top plate is on. The stud is a little tricky. The back of the stud is designed so the brass fits through the cloth, the small ring is placed over it. a small cone shaped steel tool is driven into the brass cone which makes it split and fold over the ring. so if you are setting it by hand it takes patience. Or you can buy the tool and set it in seconds. Then sell the tool There are Multiple You tube Videos out there for you to look at. But I can tell you I have done a lotof them. It takes a little practice and finesse, but you can save some great items from the trash.
