Original model 1917 RemingtonUS bayonet and scabbard. Estate buy never before been on the market. It looks like it was unissued because it still has cosmoline on blade. I would say it is near mint ,hopefully the pictures will show the condition.I decided to let the winning buyer clean the cosmoline from the blade. The blade is stamped Remington 1917 on one side and flaming bomb, US, eagle , and #1 on the other side. Scabbard is in great shape. It has a faint stamp looks like EOB. metal tip is stamped gf as well as the upper metal. Locking button works properly. This type bayonet was also used on the Winchester M-12 trench shot gun. It would be hard toupgrade.
