DescriptionThis is a fascinating Christmas Day menu for the Franklin D Roosevelt CVA-42 carrier from 1960. This is a genuine original document from one of my family members who served on the Roosevelt at that time in Florida, Guantanamo Bay, and Europe. Please note we also have a USS Oriskany document archive from 1961 to 1962 in another listing.This is an actual menu from the ship\'s Christmas Day dinner in 1960. The menu is printed on both sides of a single sheet of folded paper measuring about 11 inches by 8 inches. The menu includes a Christmas prayer, a list of officers, an extensive description of available food, a Christmas message from Captain Hessel, and holiday depictions on the front and back covers.The menu has conditon issues including small marks, scuffs, and creases. The piece will be carefully packed and shipped folded in half along the original fold mark and then placed between cardboard stiffeners inside a shipping box.
